Wood Ranch Gets LPGA Tour Event

Wood Ranch Golf Club in Simi Valley will host the Southern California Women’s Championship, a $750,000 LPGA Tour event, next year.
The event has been held the last two years at Oakmont Country Club in Glendale.
Wood Ranch, Oakmont and Valencia Country Club were vying to host the event, set for Feb. 11-13. Valencia recently dropped out.
“The biggest thing is that our members are so behind it,” said David Foster, general manager at Wood Ranch.
