Seagram Co.’s Universal Pictures named Kevin Misher president of production, a job he earlier shared with Stacey Snider, now co-chairman of the movie studio.
Misher will have principal responsibility for all feature film production at Universal, whose recent successes include “The Mummy” and “American Pie.” He became co-president in November, when he began working alongside Snider.
Snider and Brian Mulligan became co-chairmen of the studio in June, filling a position left vacant when Casey Silver resigned in November.
Misher will report directly to Snider. He joined Universal in 1996 as executive vice president of production. He’s been involved with such films as “Out of Sight,” “Patch Adams” and the upcoming “The Bone Collector,” starring Denzel Washington, and “Man on the Moon,” with Jim Carrey.
