The Toshiba Tallships Festival 2000 needs a poster and the Orange County Marine Institute is seeking local artists to make it. The institute is holding a contest for artwork that will be used for the event poster, print advertising, banners and the Internet. The winner will receive two passes to sail on a tallship during a cannon battle at the festival, Sept. 11 and 12, 2000.
Submissions must be brought to the institute, 24200 Dana Point Harbor Drive, for judging between 10 and 11 a.m. Saturday. Information: (949) 496-2274.
