Toddler Who Fell From Window Dies of Injuries

An 18-month-old boy died Thursday afternoon from injuries he suffered after falling out a second-floor window.
Anthony Garcia was playing on a bunk bed with other children when he fell out an apartment window in the 24000 block of Pine Street about 7:40 p.m. Tuesday.
The toddler was taken to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital, where he underwent surgery for a head injury.
He was later transferred to the pediatric intensive care unit at Mattel Children’s Hospital at UCLA, where he died at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, a hospital spokeswoman said.
