Your Aug. 16 editorial supporting the bottle bill expansion missed the key point of recycling. Curbside recycling has replaced recycling centers as the most efficient and convenient way to recycle. The bottles and cans proposed for the new tax are already being recycled through curbside recycling. This new bottle bill won’t increase recycling, it will just tax more consumers.
