Why does almost every article written by Susan Spano end up with her disrobing? We all have a little voyeurism in us, but we do not write about it.
For the most part, her articles are informative and well written. As a male, I find it interesting to read about a woman’s point of view on travel. It must take a lot of fortitude for a female to travel alone, and I admire her for that.
Enough with the titillation. When a person gets a massage or goes into a sauna (“The Finnish Way to Health, Success, Relaxation--and Glowing Skin,” Her World, July 18), we assume they are not clothed. Enough said.

Thank you for the naturist articles by Spano: “Three Island Hide-outs” (July 18) and Her World columns on July 18 and April 11 (“The Skinny on Topless Sunbathing: It’s Best to Respect Local Customs”). Spano provides a positive opinion on body image and naturist recreation that is needed by more media outlets.
