Book lovers can participate in real-time conversations with some of their favorite authors through Barnes & Noble’s online chat sessions. Go to https://www.barnesandnoble.com and click on Authors Online. Among the authors coming up are:
* Today, 4 p.m.: Novelist Richard North Patterson logs on to discuss “Dark Lady,” his chilling story of a brutal homicide in a small Midwestern town, and the corruption, greed and dark secrets that the police investigation reveals.
* Friday, noon: James M. Citrin and Thomas J. Neff share the insights they gleaned from publishing “Lessons From the Top,” a look at some of the most successful business leaders in America and the strategies they use to keep their companies on top.
* Monday, 4 p.m.: Dr. Edward M. Hallowell discusses “Connect: 12 Vital Ties,” which examines ways to “open your heart, lengthen your life and deepen your soul.”
* Tuesday, 4 p.m.: Orson Scott Card will talk about the science fiction title “Ender’s Shadow,” which follows his “Ender’s Game,” and tells the story of one of Ender’s companions.
