2 Supervisors’ Offices Taking Tax Appeals
- Share via
East county homeowners have two new local places to appeal their property assessments, in Thousand Oaks and Simi Valley.
The 174 appeals filed countywide this year are fewer than half the number filed in the same period last year. Sept. 15 is the deadline to file an assessment appeal for the 1999/2000 tax year, which began July 1.
The Thousand Oaks office is open Tuesdays 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and is at Supervisor Frank Schillo’s office at the Civic Arts Plaza, 2100 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd., Suite C.
The Simi Valley office is open Thursdays 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Supervisor Judy Mikels’ office at the East County Courthouse at 3855-F Alamo St.
For more information call the assessor’s office at 654-2181.
