Singer-songwriters dominate the musical scene at the store this weekend. Paul Zollo and Bob Malone perform tonight, $5 cover, while Eleni Kelakos and Boston-based artist Jess Klein take the stage Saturday, $8 cover. Show time both nights is 8 p.m.
Nancy Becker Kennedy’s performances Wednesday and Sept. 3 of her one-woman show, “I Had to Break My Neck to Get Here,” have been canceled. The Sept. 4 performance is still on schedule. Amelie Frank and Richard Modiano host the Poetry in Exile reading at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. The Sunday Open Mike is for performers with original material only. The weekend musical menu at Borders Books & Music, 9301 Tampa Ave., Northridge, kicks off tonight at 8 with the Jim Stubblefield Group performing selections from its CD, “Rhythm of the Heart.” Jeanette Wrate and the Northern Lights Ensemble make their Borders debut at 8 p.m Saturday.
