Ventura attorney and congressional candidate Michael Case has been installed as president of the Ventura County Bar Assn.
Case, 52, a Democrat, announced in July his plans to run against six-term incumbent Rep. Elton Gallegly (R-Simi Valley), who kicked off his reelection campaign last week.
Case, who has never run for public office, is a founding partner of Ventura’s largest law firm, Ferguson, Case, Orr, Paterson & Cunningham.
