Savanna Will Face No. 1 Mater Dei

Savanna is supposed to be much improved over last season, so Coach James Honell wanted a good early season test for the Rebels.
They will get it tonight at 7 when they open the Tournament of Champions against the county’s top-ranked team, Mater Dei, at Ocean View High.
The 16-team TOC features four of the county’s top 10 teams and is one of six tournaments in the county this week. The El Dorado, Foothill, Fullerton and La Quinta tournaments also begin tonight, and the Los Alamitos tournament, which features No. 4 Los Alamitos and No. 5 Villa Park, tips off Tuesday.
