4 Tax Professionals Join L.A. Office of Deloitte & Touche

Professional services firm Deloitte & Touche has hired four tax professionals for its Los Angeles office: John Mansfield joined the firm as a senior manager and Scott L. Jackson as a senior in the general tax services group; Brian Shin as a manager and Martin Y. Kao as a tax senior in the research and development tax services group.
* Hughes Electronics Corp. has tapped AT&T; Corp. executive George Foyo as president of its Galaxy Latin America unit, which provides DirecTV to Latin America and the Caribbean. Foyo, 53, served in several senior positions during his 31-year career at AT&T;, most recently as president and managing director of its Caribbean and Latin American operations.
* Lawrence Hariton was named chief financial officer of Universal Studios Home Video. He will be responsible for strategic and financial planning for the company, which is the home video unit of Universal Studios Inc.
* Jim Rosenthal was named president of New Line New Media, overseeing the Internet activities of the Time Warner-owned film distributor.
