The Santa Ana Unified School District might elect new officers at its final meeting of the year tonight. Also at the meeting, Frances Byfield, principal at King Elementary School, will receive the district’s Management Recognition Award, and Fremont Elementary School teacher Sue Seager and Valley High School senior and ASB President Patty Mata will receive Giraffe Awards for their “willingness to stick one’s neck out for education.” The meeting begins at 7 p.m. in the district conference room, 1601 E.
