Chip Brown to Run Sonance Operations

Chip Brown has been named chief operating officer at Sonance in San Clemente, a manufacturer of audio systems and home theater products. He was most recently a principal with Strategic Growth Inc. Before that, Brown was chief operating officer of Barbeques Galore, senior director and product manager at PepsiCo and management consultant at Deloitte & Touche.

Mark A. Thurman is the new president of Pepper Construction Co. Pacific, a regional general contracting and construction management firm in Irvine. Thurman succeeds Stanley Pepper, who remains chairman and chief executive of Chicago-based Pepper Construction Co. Thurman had been vice president and general manager. In addition, John K. Sykes has joined the company as vice president of operations. He was formerly principal construction manager at Walt Disney Imagineering.

Pat Romboletti has been appointed Western region sales manager for VillageFax.com in Tustin. She was formerly director of alternate channels for Western Union Corp.

Tedy Sin has been named chief technical officer of i-xposure Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of eSAT Inc. in Fountain Valley. Previously, he was a senior programmer at Auto-Graphics, a provider of library cataloging software.

Mike Kilroy has been appointed vice president, client services at Hilary Kaye Associates Inc. in Tustin. He joined the firm three years ago as an account executive and was named senior account executive last year.

Emily Hill has been named sales representative handling accounts in the Southern California region for Australia-New Zealand Direct Line in Santa Ana. She has been with the inside sales department for two years, handling East Coast and Midwest-based accounts.

Ed O’Connell has been appointed vice president and business development officer in Citizens Business Bank’s asset management division’s Orange County region. He was formerly assistant vice president and business development officer for Union Bank of California.

Philip C. Beckhelm has joined ZLand.com in Aliso Viejo as vice president of human resources. Beckhelm was most recently with Wild Bird Center in San Antonio, where he focused on sales, marketing, merchandising, advertising and inventory management as a franchise owner and operator. He has also been director of human resources, worldwide logistics for Quantum Corp., and held various human resources positions with Raychem Corp. and National Semiconductor Corp.
