In other nonleague girls’ soccer games:
No. 5 Aliso Niguel 0, No. 9 San Clemente 0--Aliso Niguel goalkeeper Taryn Acosta had 15 saves as San Clemente had 20 shots on goal but failed to score. Aly Berger, goalkeeper for San Clemente (2-0-2), had to save only 10 shots for the Tritons. Aliso Niguel is 4-1-2.
Dana Hills 1, No. 7 Corona del Mar 0--Mandi Arquilla scored the game’s only goal and goalkeeper Katie Fields had 10 saves to lead Dana Hills (2-3-0) to the upset.
No. 8 Edison 3, Lakewood 2--Brooke Thulin, Kira Simon and Lachelle Manzano each scored goals to lead host Edison (6-1-1).
No. 2 Mission Viejo 1, No. 6 Esperanza 0--Kendal Billingsley scored in the first half for Mission Viejo (5-0). Goalkeeper Nicole McCarty had 10 saves for the Diablos, who have defeated Esperanza twice in the last four days.
No. 4 Woodbridge 2, Mater Dei 1--Woodbridge scored the go-ahead goal with about 10 minutes remaining when a cross was knocked in the goal by a Mater Dei defender. Sandra Martinez had tied the score 20 minutes into the second half for the Warriors (4-1).
Sabrina Hill scored in the first half for Mater Dei (3-3).
In the Brea Olinda boys’ soccer tournament:
Servite 2, Villa Park 0--Matt Kubota scored his ninth goal in nine games and Brian Donnelly added the second goal for Servite (7-2) as they moved into the second round.
