To the Pointe

In “Pointe Shoe Confidential” (Dec. 5), Jennifer Fisher left out one of the most important books available about pointe shoes and dancing today: “The Pointe Book,” by Janice Barringer and Sarah Schlesinger, a Dance Horizons book from the Princeton Book Co. It is the best reference book ever written about pointe.

People who have access to the Internet should log on to the site https://www.danceart.com and check out two particular message boards: “Ballet, Pointe” and “Gaynor Minden.” All aspects of pointe are discussed there including the ever-popular question, “What is your favorite shoe?”
