Juan A. Pacheco; Lifelong Santa Paulan

Lifelong Santa Paula resident Juan Alaniz Pacheco died Friday at home following a lengthy illness. He was 73.
Pacheco was born July 2, 1926, in Santa Paula and worked as a farm laborer for 40 years at the Forest Ranch in Santa Paula.
Pacheco was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Olguin Pacheco, in July 1998.
He is survived by a son, John of Santa Paula; four daughters, Juanita Olveria, Geraldine Arreguin and Victoria Pacheco, all of Santa Paula, and Barbara White, of Grants Pass, Ore.; two sisters, Susie Saenz and Beatrice Gomez, both of Santa Paula; four brothers, Tommy, Joe, Phillip and Tony, all of Santa Paula; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. Monday at Pierce Bros. Stetler Mortuary in Santa Paula. A vigil will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at the mortuary, and a funeral Mass is scheduled for 9 a.m. Tuesday at St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Santa Paula. Burial will follow at Santa Paula Cemetery.
All arrangements are being handled by Pierce Bros. Stetler Mortuary in Santa Paula.
