On July 25 you ran an article on the best bed-and-breakfasts in Washington, D.C. (“Capital Ideas for Bed, Bread”). Based on that article we made reservations at the Adams Inn, at 1744 Lanier Place NW. We agree that it is located in an interesting ethnic area, but the accommodations were not what we expected. A mouse ran across the living room floor as we watched TV, and we awoke the following morning to find a number of cockroaches crawling around on the carpet in our room.
We talked with another California couple who were staying at the Adams Inn for several days based on your recommendation. They were also very disappointed.
