Seal Beach resident Gerry Kyle, 72, has been taking toys and other gifts to impoverished children of isolated Mexican villages for 30 years. As an Irish immigrant coming to the U.S. in 1948, he relates to the struggles of the poor, he said. This year, Kyle and family members will be making the annual pilgrimage Monday. He will be accepting new unwrapped gift donations until Sunday. Information: (562) 430-5211.
