Dish of Burned Rice Isn’t Very Palatable

Memo to Tim Kawakami regarding his hearsay article on Glen Rice’s imminent departure: The NBA’s hearsay convention already has a chairperson; his name is Peter Vecsey. All is well in Lakerland, Coach Phil Jackson has cured team dysfunctionality--obviously to your displeasure--and Rice’s possible departure at season’s end is hardly earthshaking.

Maybe you want more national notoriety . . . or maybe, just maybe you miss the days of disharmony of previous seasons accompanied by inherently juicy stories that you could just fling off the top of your head, but that’s too bad. If you’re reaching for the stars, then, guess what, try again, you missed!
