SUN VALLEY — One man was killed and two others were wounded Sunday in what was believed to be a gang-related shooting, police said.
The attack took place on the 7600 block of Vineland Avenue near Saticoy Street shortly after 4:30 p.m., said Don Cox, a Los Angeles Police Department spokesman.
The three men, whose identities were not released, were taken to Pacifica Hospital of the Valley where one died. The other two were being treated for gunshot wounds that were not life-threatening, Cox said.
Police said they did not know whether the gunman approached on foot or if the attack was a drive-by shooting.
Two suspects are being sought in connection with the incident. Witnesses reported seeing a brown van in the area of the shooting, Cox said.
