Caroline Knox is absolutely right. Our legislators do underestimate the intelligence and moral maturity of our young people--and the rest of us as well. Knox also has one advantage over the majority of politicians: She can think and write coherently. The teacher who taught her those skills is a true hero and deserves a bonus.
