CSUN Adds Services on Credentials, Aid

New services have been added at the Ventura campus of Cal State Northridge that will allow students to learn about credentialing and financial aid.
Cheryl Love, formerly of the Temple City Unified School District and a part-time CSUN teacher, supervises a new office that provides credentialing information, advises teachers in training and works with local schools.
The new student services advisor is Donna Holloway, formerly a financial aid advisor at Santa Barbara City College. Her responsibilities are to provide financial aid information and seek other funding sources for students.
The added services are part of the preparations for the expansion of the CSUN program when it moves this summer to the Cal State Channel Islands campus in Camarillo.
“With a large percentage of our students receiving financial aid, having Ms. Holloway on our staff will provide a valuable service,” said Steve Lefevre, director of the Ventura campus.
He added that the addition of Love will help the local campus better meet “the growing demand for qualified teachers in the region.”
