Ice Dogs Win Shootout

Goalie Trevor Koenig saved 22 of 23 shots in regulation and all five in the shootout as the Ice Dogs defeated the Kansas City Blades, 2-1, before a crowd of 6,301 at the Long Beach Arena on Saturday night.
The Ice Dogs’ Patrik Augusta scored his 20th goal of the season to tie the score in the second period, and also scored the only goal of the shootout.
The Ice Dogs, who improved to 29-14 overall, are 8-0 in shootouts.
