The City Council tonight will consider approving a new Chevron gas station in Culver Plaza, at Culver and Irvine Center drives. The Planning Commission has already signed off on the 24-hour service station, which would include five pump islands and a 406-square-foot cashier building with restrooms. Alcohol will not be sold. Several residents have asked the council to overturn the commission’s Oct. 15 decision. The meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. in council chambers at 1 Civic Center Plaza.
