Kermott Named Head of First American

Santa Ana-based First American Title Insurance Co., one of the nation’s largest title insurers, has named Gary Kermott president.
Kermott, who has been with the company 15 years, succeeds Parker S. Kennedy, who was named chairman of the 109-year-old title company. His father, former chairman Donald P. Kennedy, becomes vice chairman.
Parker Kennedy also is president of the company’s parent, First American Financial Corp.
