The city’s newest movie theater, featuring 10 screens, is expected to open in February. The Edwards II theatre on Birch Street west of Brea Boulevard is part of the city’s redevelopment area. On the south side of the street, CIM Development Group is building retail stores, restaurants and loft-style apartments.
The city expects to close Birch Street west of Brea Boulevard periodically this month between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. because of construction traffic. Officials are asking drivers to avoid the area.
