Survivor of Holocaust Will Discuss New Book
- Share via
Holocaust survivor Mel Mermelstein will speak Jan. 24 about his new book, “By Bread Alone,” which details his time in concentration camps and his legal battle against revisionist historians.
In 1985, the Huntington Beach resident collected $90,000 from The Institute for Historical Review, a Torrance-based revisionist group, which offered $50,000 to anyone who could prove that Jews were gassed at Auschwitz during World War II.
Mermelstein’s address is titled “At My Back Door, But You Will Not Enter,” and he will sign copies of his book. The event starts at 7 p.m. in Temple Bat Yahm, 1011 Camelback St., Newport Beach.
