The city recently filed a lawsuit against the owners of Haster Garden Apartments, 12312 Haster St., claiming they violated building codes. The charges included deteriorated walls, roofing materials and ceilings; structural damage on stairs, decks and landings; water-damaged floors, sanitation and plumbing problems and inoperable furnaces. The suit names 26 property owners of the 37-unit building. Officials hope the suit will force the owners to make repairs.
