Cypress Assistant Coach Younger Quits to Pursue College Degree

Tino Ray Younger, an assistant women’s soccer coach at Cypress College the last six years, has resigned to concentrate on completing his bachelor’s degree, he said Tuesday.
Younger, 34, and head coach Ray Haas led Cypress to state and conference titles last fall. Cypress won five conference titles and reached the state tournament five times while Younger was on the staff.
“It was a tough decision,” Younger said, “But everything I could accomplish with the program has been done. Now it’s time to focus on myself and get my education.”
Younger will remain as the coach of the Marina High girls’ soccer team.
