PALOS VERDES ESTATES — A woman’s body was found on a beach in Palos Verdes Estates late Tuesday, and police are not ruling out the possibility of foul play.
The body was discovered about 7 p.m. Tuesday after police said they were tipped off by an anonymous call from a pay phone.
The caller gave directions to a deep ravine off a public beach, where the body was found 125 feet below sheer cliffs.
Police found “no visible signs of trauma to the body,” according to Palos Verdes Police Chief Timm Browne, and therefore have not concluded that the case is a homicide.
Police said they are waiting for coroner’s officials to provide them with further details about the death. They are not releasing the woman’s identity pending notification of next of kin.
