Scandinavian Airlines System, a Boeing Co. customer for three decades, said it is considering spending up to $2.4 billion on Airbus Industrie planes in what would be its first order to the European consortium. SAS has been in talks with both Airbus and archrival Boeing for months about an aircraft purchase.
