Shaquille O’Neal and Karl Malone will play in Anaheim this year as part of the Clippers’ annual series at the Arrowhead Pond.
The Clippers will play six games at the Pond, according to the NBA schedule released Thursday. Tickets go on sale Saturday, the team said.
The Clippers face the Vancouver Grizzlies Tuesday, Feb. 16 and the Lakers Thursday, Feb. 25, followed by three Saturday games: Feb. 27 against the Atlanta Hawks, March 27 against the Utah Jazz and April 10 against the Portland Trail Blazers. The series concludes Monday, April 19, against the Sacramento Kings.
That game could be the Clippers’ farewell to Anaheim. The team can opt out of its annual Anaheim series at the end of each season and could play its entire home schedule at the Staples Center upon moving into the new arena for the 1999-2000 season.
