Opportunities for Volunteering

The Volunteer Center Assistance League of Southern California is seeking volunteers for a “dress for success” program. Participants will manage a special closet that provides nice clothes for low-income people looking for work. For more information, call (818) 908-5128.

The Penny Lane Foster Family Agency is providing free training and certification for foster parents. There will be an orientation session at the center at 15305 Rayen St. in North Hills at 4 p.m. on Feb. 6, and another session at the facility at 11008 Downey Ave. in Downey at 4 p.m. on Feb. 20.
