City Council members last week postponed voting on a revision to a plan to build a corporation yard on Laguna Canyon Road because the meeting was spent debating the Treasure Island resort project.
A workshop to reduce building costs was held Jan. 12. Council members in September rejected bids to build the yard because the project exceeded budget by more than $1 million, City Manager Kenneth C. Frank said.
The cost for the yard, which would house the city’s maintenance workers and vehicles, has been trimmed by about $700,000. But Frank said council members may not even consider the issue for another year.
