“I had a bottle of the 1995 Dalla Valle Cabernet Sauvignon that was quite impressive. Naoko Dalla Valle is a neighbor of ours, and her wine turned out to be the kind of concentrated, elegant wine I think the Oakville area can produce--big, rich Cabernet flavors, lots of concentrated berry flavors with that nice cherry we tend to get in Oakville. It was a rich concentrated wine, but it wasn’t overly tannic. I tend not to like some of these wines that break your jaw.”
