The southbound Santa Ana Freeway onramp at Brookhurst Street was closed this week for three months for the rebuilding of an overpass. The new Brookhurst overpass is part of the $1.1-billion freeway improvement project that began in December 1996 and is expected to be completed in 2000. Features include new carpool and multipurpose lanes and ramp improvements.
