The Huntington Beach Community Clinic and the Hawaiian Civic Club of Orange County have received more than $60,000 in grants from the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
The Hawaiian Civic Club, based in Huntington Beach, was awarded $7,500. The group offers support for breast cancer survivors and at-risk women in the Hawaiian community, and identifies unmet needs for breast health and breast cancer education, screening and treatment.
The Huntington Beach Community Clinic received $57,367 for its breast cancer screening program, which includes aggressive case management to target medically underserved women.
