Landa, Lopez Lead Santa Ana Valley Past Calvary Chapel

Alex Landa and Jimmy Lopez made three-pointers in overtime to lead Santa Ana Valley to a 76-74 victory over Calvary Chapel in a nonleague boys’ basketball game Tuesday at Calvary Chapel.
Landa’s three-pointer with about 1 1/2 minutes remaining in regulation tied the score, 69-69. Landa then opened the overtime period with another three-point basket.
Calvary Chapel’s Brett Young, who scored 30 points, then tied the score with one of his four three-pointers, but Lopez answered to put the Falcons (7-15) back up by three. Calvary Chapel fell to 11-9.
