With a nod to the future, the Camarillo Library celebrated its 80th anniversary this week by officially opening an entrance to the information superhighway.
The library, at 3100 Ponderosa Drive, introduced its Adolfo On-Line Internet Center on Wednesday. The facility will have 10 computers linked to the Internet, up from just two PCs previously.
“I think it is great,” said county Supervisor Kathy Long. “It’s good to have technology in our libraries. It opens up our research and learning capabilities for the students.”
Long presented the library with a resolution by the Board of Supervisors acknowledging its commitment to providing free access to information through books and technology.
