The Richard Nixon Library & Birthplace will take a look at patriotism and friendship in needlework on Feb. 13 and 14 with the opening of its “Great American Quilts” show. More than 30 vintage and new creations will be on display, including the quilt on the bed on which Nixon was born and a needlepoint neighborhood of 18 three-dimensional presidential homes. The display continues through July 5 at the library, 18001 Yorba Linda Blvd. Information: (714) 993-5075.
