Local residents concerned about the fate of loved ones in Colombia affected by this week’s devastating 6.0 earthquake can call the Los Angeles chapter of the American Red Cross for information.
The Red Cross will attempt to locate relatives in Colombia for callers from the United States.
Callers must be immediate family members and have been in contact with their Colombian relatives within the last year. For more information, call (213) 739-4543 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily.
Those trying to learn the welfare of U.S. citizens in the area affected by the earthquake may call the U.S. State Department, American Citizens Services, at (202) 647-5225 or (202) 647-5226.
