Brea Olinda Unified trustees this week approved the district’s 1999-2000 preliminary budget; it includes revenue of $31.5 million but does not include restricted funds that would be carried over from 1998-99. Although the final budget won’t be adopted until Aug. 30, the preliminary budget has salary increases for employees built in. Less experienced teachers will receive $31,278 in 1999-2000, compared to $30,500 this year.
