The City Council on Tuesday appointed seven people to an El Toro Road redevelopment advisory committee. The panel will help city officials and consultants create a final plan for the revitalization of the corridor’s commercial areas. Named to the committee were residents Joan Sarver, Bill Goodwin and Jerry Zechmeister; commercial developer Norm Nowell; commercial property owner Nelson Murphy; and merchants Arnold Kirschenbaum and Laurie Solari. The committee also will include Planning Commissioner David Carter, Parks and Recreation Commissioner Bernard Echanow and Councilman Richard Dixon.
