Teacher Allegedly Had Sex With Girl, 14

RANCHO CUCAMONGA — A 26-year-old elementary school teacher for the Los Angeles Unified School District will be arraigned today on multiple felony charges of having sex with a 14-year-old Rancho Cucamonga girl he met through the Internet.
Jeremy West Preall of Anaheim was arrested Tuesday and remained jailed on $75,000 bail. His arraignment will be in San Bernardino Municipal Court.
Preall has been placed on compulsory unpaid leave as a teacher at Hawaiian Avenue Elementary School, where he was completing his requirements to become credentialed, said a spokesman for the school district.
He was hired at the school in April 1998 on an emergency credential.
