The City Council recently voted 4 to 0 to change the city’s land-use map to allow development of the Baker Ranch Commercial Center. The 20.6-acre center will feature a Home Depot, fast-food restaurants, a gas station and other retailers. The council authorized the project’s developer to extend Rancho Parkway to Bake Parkway through what was designated as regional parkland.
