Santa Ana Unified School District Trustee Nadia Davis, 28, is in stable condition at an Orange County hospital after a solo car accident on the Long Beach Freeway last week, said Rubin Smith, a family spokesperson. She suffered broken bones. Davis, a lawyer and the board’s vice president, had been driving home from a dinner meeting July 5 at 11 p.m. with a client in Los Angeles, Smith said. Davis apparently swerved and hit the center divider, causing her car to flip and crash. No alcohol was involved, Smith said, and no one else was injured.
