Magnitude 3.7 Earthquake Occurs Off Coastline

A magnitude 3.7 earthquake occurred off the county’s coast Friday afternoon.
The quake occurred about 12:15 p.m. and was centered six miles southeast of San Nicolas Island, said Nick Scheckel, a Caltech seismologist.
No injuries or accidents were reported. The tremor was not an aftershock.
