The Chamber of Commerce will hold a sand castle building workshop for the public Saturday at the 1st Street beach lot from 9 a.m. to noon. Cost is $10 for individuals and $20 for a family/team. The workshop is to prepare potential contestants for the Sept. 11 sandcastle building contest at the pier. The workshop will be repeated Aug. 8 and 21, 9 a.m. to noon. Information: (562) 799-0179.
