The Planning Commission on Wednesday approved a conditional-use permit for a 5,000-square-foot McDonald’s in the 7900 block of Katella Avenue. The fast-food restaurant will feature 1950s-era architecture and color schemes and reintroduce Speedy Burger Man, a popular icon that was discontinued when Ronald McDonald was created to promote the eatery.
